Division of Public Health Nursing at the Department of Nursing Sciences was set up in April 2013.

Goals of the Master of PHN Program

1.     Evaluate the current state of knowledge in public health nursing as it informs theory, practice and health care research.
2.     Develop and implement a research study in public health nursing knowledge.
3.     Evaluate the application of evidence-based practice of public health nursing among diverse and multicultural populations.
4.     Articulate ethical issues and responsibilities involved in health care research.
5.     Develop and utilize leadership approaches that foster improvement of health care.

Goals of the PhD of PHN Program

Develop capabilities to explore and move forward the scientific evidences for practice and education in public health nursing.
